### 🕹️ Custom Core Rules & Mechanics
Unlike standard checkers clones, ARONAS operates on its own tailored, strict structural geometry rules:
* **The Starting Formation:**
* **Computer / AI (Red)** commands the upper side of the arena, starting fully packed across Rows 1 and 2.
* **Human Player (Blue)** commands the lower side, deploying across Rows 7 and 8.
* **Aronas Movement (Pawns):** Regular pieces can step exactly **one square diagonally in ANY direction** (both forward and backward) from their opening turn, provided the destination cell is empty.
* **Aronas Captures:** Regular pieces capture strictly by leaping exactly **two squares orthogonally (straight forward or straight backward)** over an adjacent tile directly onto an enemy piece. All captures are optional, end that piece's turn immediately, and do not trigger multiple jump chains.
* **The Coronation (Kings):** Safely pilot your piece all the way to your opponent's furthest baseline (Row 1 for Blue, Row 8 for Red) to promote it into a **King (★)**.
* **King Capabilities:** Promoted Kings gain supreme freedom—they can slide or capture exactly **one step in any of the 8 directions** (both cardinal and diagonal).
* **Victory Conditions:** Completely wipe your enemy's army off the board or trap their remaining forces until they have no legal operational movements left to claim absolute glory. Watch the turn clock—running out of time skips your turn!
